If you had a chance to read the article on the Nintendo Controller Wallet, here’s another example of geek fashion. Called the LED Belt Buckle, it’s just a natural extension of a regular plain old belt buckle, but with shiny lights…ohhh. The belt is available in two styles, a silver buckle or sparkling stones.
What’s interesting about these LED Belt Buckles is that they can be programmed to display messages. Programming them is quite easy and can be done using a cable and connecting the belt to a PC.
These days, more and more people are getting into their own home based businesses. One of the challenges they face is advertising. Some get shirts printed with their brand name, others use caps or other pieces of clothing. I can see people using these LED belts to display messages or for that matter, home based business owners trying to advertise their business with these LED displays.
If you happen to be wearing one of these LED belt buckles and someone is staring in the direction of your waist, they may just be trying to read the message you are broadcasting.
