The Apple iPad sits at the absolute pinnacle of the tablet computing industry and any new entry into this market realizes that they have a tall order to climb in order to reach the stature of the iPad. When a new tablet comes out, we’ve commonly seen the manufacturer go through the advantages of their tablet over the iPad and many have come out with what they claim is an “iPad killer”.
So far, there have been a lot of contenders, but most have been pretenders. LG is next to take a shot at the iPad with their Optimus tablet and according to Chang Ma from LG, the Optimus tablet will be much better then the iPad. Hype? Probably, but Ma does say that the new LG tablet will have some special surprises in store that will make it a hot commodity. Considering just how competitive the tablet market is with the iPad and Android tablets, the Optimus will need to be very special to carve out its own niche.
The LG Optimus may have some special surprises in store for the public, but LG has used the iPad as the foundation of their device. I wonder how the Optimus will stack up against the iPad 2, which Apple is reportedly working on now?
