Under $30, $29.97 USD to be exact and you can pick up your own Boogie Board LCD writing tablet. With the impending Apple announcements of tomorrow, the Boogie Board may get lost in the shuffle, but it does have some interesting features that are worth mentioning.
First, the writing area of the tablet utilizes a pressure-sensitive Reflex LCD, a technology which offers the device not only flexibility but also resistance towards impacts and collisions. Hence, you’ve got yourself a durable little tablet here.
Additionally, because of the bi-stable and reflective nature of the Relfex LCD, the Boogie Board tablet does not need an external power source to either create an image or retain it. Also, a small internal watch battery that is rated for 50,000 erase cycles is all that is required to clear the screen of any content that might be there.
The Boogie Board Tablet is the design of Kent Displays. We may not quite be a paperless society yet, but this device can certainly reduce paper consumption and is a suitable gadget for note taking, drawing pictures, playing games, writing down thoughts and ideas and for list generation.
