The official announcement of the Squeezebox Touch was to occur at IFA 2009 but with Engadget receiving a series of leaked pictures, Logitech has elected to announce development of this music player a little earlier then they would have liked.
The Squeezebox Touch is a desktop audio player that comes with a 4.3-inch, 24-bit color touchscreen display, SD memory card slot, light sensor, proximity sensor, temperature sensor, network connectivity (wired Ethernet and 802.11b/g WiFi), digital optical, digital coaxial, analog stereo ports and HQ audio support (24 bit at 96khz sampling rate).
The audio device supports music playback through internet music streaming as well as by audio files located on your pc.
Further details will be forthcoming including pricing and availability.
