Pet Child Tracking Device

Are you always losing your keys? Perhaps your worried about your dog coming off the leash when you’re out for a walk in the park? The Loc8tor Plus Key, Pet and Child Tracking Device from Maplin allows you to attach a small 30.5mm x 19.5mm x 8.5mm tracking tag to any object using a key ring loop or a self-adhesive pad. You can associate up to 24 tags with the Loc8tor Plus device, allowing you to track pretty much everything in your home.

There are 3 modes to the Loc8tor Plus handset, panic, locate and alert. The panic mode requires a special panic tag, which contains an SOS button. When the wearer of the SOS tag presses the SOS button, it sends an alert back to the handset, triggering a distress alarm.

In locate mode, the tracker handset gives you visual and audible cues to indicate that you’re getting closer to the tag you’re tracking. The display on the handset also provides you with signal strength and directional information. You can locate tags from up to 180 metres away (straight line of sight).

The alert mode is similar to a GPS geo-fence. When one of the chosen tags moves out of a predetermined distance from the handset (described as near, medium or far), an alarm on the handset will sound. This is useful to catch kids before they wander off too far!

The Loc8tor Plus tracking device kit comes with 3 mini homing tags, 1 SOS panic tag, a key ring loop, adhesive strips, 2x LR54 batteries for each tag, and 2x AAA batteries for the handset. Additional homing tags and panic tags are also available. The handset is pretty portable too, measuring 110mm x 5.3mm wide x 1.6mm deep. The complete kit is available for £99.99 from Maplin.
