At the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, the Canadian Men’s hockey team won the gold metal in their Olympic event and to commemorate this special achievement, Research In Motion (RIM) provided each member of the winning team with a limited edition Blackberry Bold 9700 smartphone that comes with a custom paint job featuring the Canadian flag.

Along with this, RIM also offered up 20 of these limited edition BB to Future Shop which in turn awarded them to their top sales staff. The contest ran through fiscal February with the winners being those that were in the top 20 in Blackberry hardware sales and placed a special focus on clearance merchandise as well as products that fit into the category of “gone when gone”.

No word as to who the lucky employees were but seeing as this is a limited edition item, the same that was award to the Canadian hockey team, you can bet it will have both a high sentimental and monetary value.
