Limited Edition Pentax K-7 Camera In Silver

Limited Edition Pentax K-7 Camera In Silver

The launch of the Pentax K-7 SLR camera last summer was met with good support in the photography world and today, Hoya Corporation in Japan is following up on this success with a limited edition Pentax K-7.

Off the bat, the first thing you’ll notice is the new coat of paint. The new camera is now available in “limited silver” and comes with a silver body with a ribbed top dial and a dark grip strip. The new color scheme does give the Pentax camera that look and feel reminiscent of the old school camera designs.

However, the changes to the camera exterior are not the only changes included in this limited edition model as the K-7 also sports a golden section ratio focusing screen that offers digital photographers the ability to compose better photos due to a series of guiding lines and points on the curved screen.

Additionally, the LE also includes a reinforced glass plate protecting the rear display screen from shock damage as well as nicks and scratches. This is something that might come in handy for outdoor photography that takes place under challenging shooting conditions. Rounding out the features on the K-7 is a new firmware (Ver. 1.03) as well as new image processing software.

If you’re interest in the limited edition camera, it will go on sale March 1st, with supply limited to just 1000 units.
