At the Mobile World Congress where Windows Phone 7 was announced, little was known about the official release date. This information was kept somewhat cryptic with the only hint given was that it should be available “by the holidays”, which seems to infer Labor Day if the information coming from Engadget is valid.
Recently, reporters from Engadget Chinese met up with their counterparts from LG Electronics during the recent Chinese New Years celebrations. Over the course of an event that was held in Hong Kong, LG let it be known that a possible LG smartphone that would be running on Microsoft’s newest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7 should be available some time between September and November of this year.
Details about what the new LG handset would look like were unavailable, but considering that WP7 will only support 3 types of devices, the LG phone should fit into one of these categories.
