LG GW620 Android To Finally Hit Europe

LG GW620

LG is about to introduce a new Google phone this year – the LG GW620. Its addition to the lineup of available Google phones is fast making the Android mobile operating system a force to reckon with, and is also fast making T-Mobile G1′s last year’s news.

Details are few at this point, since everything’s based on the information LG coughs up every now and then. From what we do know, it’s going to be released in “select European markets” by the end of the year. The GW620 is a landscape slider and features a full QWERTY keyboard and 3-inch touchscreen.

It’s also likely to sport a 5-megapixel camera, if it’s the same as the models LG touts on the occasional tech shows these days. What’s sad is that up to now, we can’t be sure if this little baby will even have Wi-Fi connectivity.

Another potential drawback for the LG GW620 is that it runs the basic stock Android, and doesn’t have any customized operating skin. Other manufacturers, such as Motorola and Sony Ericsson, have been coming out with retooled Androids to make their phones a little more interesting and functional.

If anything, the default Android setup should give the LG GW620 some stability, so it might be worth a look if you’re into QWERTY.
