Lenovo has just recently announced a new line of laptops designed for the mainstream user. The Lenovo G455 and G555 offer solid AMD and ATI power starting at only US$449, and it should make for a tempting once-over if you’re looking for your next laptop.
The G455 and G555 offer the same basic specs — you have the choice of either an AMD Turion or Athlon processor, the most powerful on offer being the Turion II dual-core processor. You’ll also have the support of ATi Radeon HD graphics on a 16:9 resolution.
The G455 will come with the standard 14-inch display, while the G555 will be larger at 15.6-inches. Both models will come with DirectX 10 and Windows 7. Granted, it’s not the most powerful laptop we’ll be seeing this Spring, but with Lenovo’s track record, it’s still worth a look.
If solid specs and a US$449 price tag sounds good to you, then stand by for the Lenovo G455/G555 series when it officially makes its US debut next month.
