Christmas is always a banner time for buying gadgets and kids toys and companies such as Lego can see huge increases in sales with Lego sets flying off the shelves at a rate of 1 every second.
The question is how do you take that momentum during the holiday season and continue to generate interest in your products in January when sales can be slower? How about taking your cool toys and make an Apple iPhone application out of them. That’s exactly what Lego did with their Lego photo application. With this application, users can take a digital photo and convert it into a mosaic of Lego bricks.
Unfortunately, that’s about all you can do with this piece of software. What would have been nice is if you could dismantle the Lego pieces and reassemble them but who knows, perhaps this will be a feature included in future versions of this application.
If you want to give this software a spin, the nice thing is that it is a free download through iTunes.
