A leaked maintenance manual has revealed a new Lenovo laptop is in the works. The new notebook is the Thinkpad X201 and it appears to be an upgrade to the currently available Thinkpad X200.

The ultraportable device will feature a 12-inch screen display but it’s biggest upgrade can be found under the hood in the underlying Intel chipset that powers this unit. The X201 standard model will include the dual-core 2.66GHz Core i7 while the slimline model comes with the low-voltage 2.13GHz i7 as the best available option.

Although the models vary in their chipset, both will include a 2MP webcam and consumers can select an optional trackpad and docking station. Outside of this, there are no specifics for pricing and a release date so stay tuned.
