This year has been the rise of portable devices with many customers now relying on electronic gadgets to read their favorite magazines and books and with that comes word on Friday that Kobo is updating their iPhone/iPad app with Instapaper. If you’re wondering how Instapaper will improve the Kobo application, read on.
With Instapaper, customers can now read articles that they have clipped from online sources using the same e-reader app which they currently use for their electronic books and other digital media.
The company says that the process of linking up an Instapaper account to Kobo is painless as you will only need to input your user id and password and once linked up, an ebook with an Instapaper cover will appear on your virtual bookshelf and its contents will be automatically updated when new content is included with the Instapaper account. For now, some features have been disabled and these include the notes and highlights feature.
