Kitara Guitar Replaces Strings With TouchScreen

By Mike on December 15th, 2010

The Kitara Guitar takes a page from the guitar in Guitar Hero by replacing the strings with an 8-inch touchscreen and where you would press down on the frets, there are now buttons.

Created by Misa Digital, the Kitara is all about adding a high tech feel to a classical instrument. This is a “virtual” six string guitar and instead of using a pick, you use your fingertips to strum it. If you’re a fan of trying new things like a guitar with a giant touchscreen and 24 frets, you can buy the Kitara for $850 USD. More information about this guitar and how it works is available through the below informational video.
