Letting young kids in the house use your PC for their homework and other activities can be pretty dangerous — who knows what their idle hands can do to your files. One solution is obviously to get them their own PC, and the Kids CyberNet Station could just be what the doctor ordered.
This isn’t One Laptop Per Child, though — it’s a fully-loaded PC that’s designed to help kids with their learning activities, no matter how resource-heavy these activities may be. The Kids CyberNet Station runs on Intel Dual Core and 4GB of RAM, and has a whopping 500GB of storage space. It also has a DVD-ROM/CDRW drive, HD Audio, 2 Gigabit Fast Ethernet connections, and a 19-inch touchscreen display.
Oh, and it’s bundled with Microsoft Windows 7, too. The Kids CyberNet Station comes in three different packages — one for toddlers and pre-k kids, one for kindergarten to 5th grade kids, and one for older kids in 6th to 12th grade.
They keyboard has big colorful buttons, immediately telling us it’s a kid’s workstation. It’s a bit pricey at $1,999, but it’s an alternative to buying additional software for a cheaper PC
