Kickstarter Creates An iOS App

These days, customers are accessing websites through a variety of different devices and having apps that makes it easier for a customer to interact with your website can be viewed as nothing but beneficial. Usually, we’ll see development dollars being spent to create apps for the major platforms while some of the lesser known, less popular platforms fall by the wayside.

Today, Kickstarter has confirmed that they have released their own iOS app. iOS is the proprietary operating system used by Apple which is used to run a number of their products. The Kickstarter app has been specifically developed for both the iPod Touch and the iPhone. Using the app, customers will be able to search for projects by way of location as well as category. Additionally, users will be able to review videos and contribute funds to projects that appeal to them. There will also be an Activity tab which will list project updates for projects that you have funded. The Kickstarter app also has a social component to it and allows you to connect with your Facebook friends as well see which projects they have launched or funded.

So far, there is no Android app as the company has said that they would like to focus on the iPhone at this time.
