JVC’s Everio GZ-HM400 camcorder made its debut in Japan a few months back, but is now making its way to US shores just in time for the holidays. The features JVC’s new camcorder is packed with should make the 2009 holiday a bit more interesting.
The GZ-HM400 has a 10-megapixel resolution for videos and 9-megapixels for still photos, and has the nifty ability to capture shots in slow motion in three different speeds – 600, 300, and 120 frames per second. The camcorder comes with 32GB of internal flash memory, and accepts expandable memory in the form of SD and SDHC memory cards. The cam can shoot at 1080i resolution at 24 fps, and record in AVCHD format. It also has a 2.8-inch LCD viewfinder you can swing out to frame shots better.
You can hook up the GZ-HM400 to a big screen through its mini HDMI output. It also has USB connectivity and the option of using a separate microphone. Best of all, it offers a one-touch feature to upload content to YouTube or iTunes.
JVC’s GZ-HM400 should hit store shelves near you at around $999.95.
