Leave it to the Japanese who seem to have the absolute best when it comes to the latest gadgets and technology. R-Y6000 is the Hitachi model number of their latest fridges that emits vitamin C throughout the fridge, keeping food from spoiling.

Apparently, the vitamin C that is present within the fridge increases the life of meat by allowing it to retain it’s color. Vitamin C also reduces nutrient loss within fish and vegetables. In addition to the ability to emit vitamin C, the R-Y6000 fridge also has a number of filters to prevent mold build up.

Cost of this fridge has been set at $3,100. Sounds like a rather healthy choice.
