JailBreakMe – Apple iPhone 4 Jailbreak Tool Released

JailBreakMe for the iPhone 4 has now been released and this app works slightly differently from other hacking tools that we’ve seen before. Rather then installing the app on a personal computer and applying the mods while the iPhone is tethered, JailBreakMe works through the Safari web browser that is installed on the iPhone itself.

With JailBreakMe, you bring up a website in Safari and then utilize the “slide to jailbreak” function to make the necessary changes. The tool is being offered up by Comex who is a member of the iPhone Dev Team. The tool is very new and updates regarding it are quite fluid. Initially, it was believed that MMS and FaceTime functionality was broken but apparently, there are fixes now available for these functions. JailBreakMe is available today but thus far, there is not a tool that will fully unlock an iPhone 4, although it is most likely just a matter of time before we see it surface. If you want to give the tool a spin and aren’t worried about voiding your warranty, open up your Safari browser and head on over to the JailBreakMe.com website.
