The X-Power 1 USB cable is a clever little device created for the iPod and iPhone. This may look like an ordinary USB sync cable, albeit with a bulge in the middle, but it actually doubles as a battery backup system for your Apple gadgets. This is all thanks to the lithium ion battery that resides in the bulge.
When the cable is connected to your PC and Apple product, it acts as a sync cable. However, if you happen to be on a long road trip and find that you’re low on battery power, the lithium ion battery acts as an inline battery charger that can provide you with an additional 4.5 hours of talk time on the 3G, 9 hours of talk time on the 2G, 6 hours of video playback and 5.4 hours of WiFi access.
