Developing Apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch isn’t really that profitable for most people, unless of course you make it a full-time business and make it big with great Apps. That happens to be the case of Tapulous, the developer of such games as Tap Tap Revenge.

Tapulous, a small company that only employs 20 full-time workers, has reported that their monthly income has hit the $1-million mark. The game Tap Tap Revenge alone has generated more than 20 million sales, and 600 million games being played.

The research group comScore had earlier this year reported one out of every three iPhone App users have Tap Tap Revenge on their devices. It’s obviously very profitable, even though Tapulous hasn’t given us the exact figures.

Tapulous generates its income through games sales, advertising, and music sales. With more than 50 million iPhones and iPod Touch units sold so far, the prospect of making it big through iPhone App development has never looked this tempting.
