Inverted Bookshelf – A DIY Or David Blaine Magic?

in Do It Yourself Projects

This is a well done do it yourself project that will mesmerize friends and family and have them asking how this feat was accomplished. Once you’ve had a chance to review the documentation, it really is quite a straightforward project. In terms of material needed, there really isn’t a lot, just your standard materials for a shelf (wood and bracket) as well as elastic webbing and a staple gun to complete the illusion.

Full details on the inverted bookshelf are available at Instructables. Once you’ve had a chance to read through the material, take a look at step 4 which shows how the elastic webbing is placed between the cover and opening page of the book on the two ends to conceal it’s presence.
