National Geographic Duet Travel Phone

International travelers can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of calling here, there and everywhere with the new National Geographic Duet Travel Phone. Designed especially for the needs of an international traveler, the phone comes with a National Geographic Travel SIM Card which offers affordable pay-as-you-go calling in 185 calls as well as free incoming calls in more than 80 countries.

Another great benefit to the National Geographic Duet Travel Phone is that it comes with the option of inserting another SIM card into the phone and thus having a secondary number and service. For those who do a lot of business, there is the option of having a number for international calls as well as a number designated for keeping in touch with family and friends.

Standard features of the phone include Bluetooth, FM radio, a camera, television, 1 GB storage card, National Geographic content including wallpapers, and ringtones as well as travel related video courtesy of National Geographic. The Duet Travel Phone also comes with 24/7 toll free US based customer support through an easy three-digit access number.

Sebastian Harris, president of Cellular Abroad, Inc states that their service is comparable to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile but at a fraction of the cost. However, Harris believes it is “the unique feature of the new Duet handset” that really makes their product stand out.
The National Geographic Travel Phone is available through web shops such as CellularAbroad.com, Amazon.com, Expansys-usa.com and other retailers. For those who already own an internationally compatible mobile phone, the SIM card is available to purchase separately as well.

The phone comes in handy in the US as well thanks to the dual SIM capability. I have this phone and I use one of the slots in for personal calls and the other SIM for business. I also like the FM radio. Lots of phones have FM radio BUT you need to listen to it with a headset – this one you don’t. Other than that, the phone is good but not fantastic – but then again, I compare that to a Nokia N95 which costs 3 times as much!

I really like the dual SIM card feature of this phone as well. I can see it coming in very handy.
