iiView, a Singapore company used the Windows 7 press event as their opportunity to showcase their sexy new super slim netbook. Known as the A2, this sleek netbook mimics the elegant design of the better known Apple MacBook Air.
According to Cyril Alonzo, chief executive officer, the goal of the iiView A2 was to design a highly sought after product rather then just feed an already overcrowded market. There’s no doubt that this goal has been achieved.
The Atom based mini laptop includes a 1.6Ghz processor, 2GB RAM, a large 12.1-inch display, 320GB hard drive, 802.11 b/g wireless connectivity and 10/100 Ethernet wired connectivity. Along with this is a 6 cell battery and 2 USB ports that are hidden on the side of the unit.
With a retail price of $468, the iiView A2 includes a Microsoft Vista Home Premium license with an optional upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium.
