i-tab - World's First Electronic Songbook

i-tab is being billed as the first electronic songbook and the question begs to be asked, what took so long as this looks like a cool idea. i-tab is a 5-inch touchscreen display that attaches to your guitar’s headstock and serves as a digital teleprompter that chalks up chords and lyrics in perfect synchronization to your guitar playing.

The music device comes with 4GB of internal storage which should be sufficient storage space to house your tabs which you can buy online through i-tab’s online store. i-tab is expected to ship around the mid-March time frame and should make its way into music shops some time in April. At the time of launch, the online store will have roughly 5,000 tabs available for purchase with approximately 500 new tabs being added each week.

i-tab comes with integrated speakers, a stylus and data ports for USB and video out allowing for signal out to either a TV or computer screen which may be of benefit if you want to take advantage of a bigger screen while relaxing with your musical instrument or perhaps you have some karaoke singers in the house that just want to sing along. The purchase price for i-tab is $199 and 30 free tabs from popular music artists such as the Rolling Stones, U2 and Oasis will be thrown in.
