Early next year is when we will start to see HP tablets go on sale according to Todd Bradley, who is the head of the Personal Systems Group for Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HP). The information was made available when Bradley was asked an unrelated question as to if the success of the Apple iPad has had any effect on netbook sales.
According to Bradley, HP has two tablet computers that are in development. One will be deployed using the WebOS platform while the other will be based upon Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. Very little else is known about these tablets including hardware configurations, but there is speculation that one of them may be named a “PalmPad” as this was a name that HP filed a trademark for some time back.
