When it comes to notebooks, the holy grail has been to continue to improve upon the design to enhance portability. HP has hit a milestone with the Elitebook 6930p notebook that delivers 24 hours of battery life. No longer do workers need to worry if their laptop will outlast their work day, rather the question is how long will the worker last before he collapses with a 24 hour battery life.
You may ask yourself, who needs such a long battery life? Business travelers will greatly benefit from this design improvement. To put it into perspective, the world’s longest commercial flight is between Newark Liberty International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport, a journey that is just under 19 hours. Guess what, the HP Elitebook 6930p will give you an additional 5 hours of battery life when your journey ends.
The energy efficient notebook gained it’s battery life extension using the latest technologies such as Intel solid state drives, and mercury free HP Illumi-Lite LCD displays.
The new laptops will be available for purchase in October 2008.
