We still live in a time when having a 16MP camera is an incredible achievement. But apparently Hasselblad doesn’t think resolution technology is moving forward quickly enough, and is now offering a whopping 40MP resolution on their H4D-40 digital camera.
The H4D-40 camera sports a 40MP CCD sensor that’s almost twice the size of a 35mm DSLR sensor. Like its predecessors, this camera also capitalizes on a True Focus AF system — to make sure not a single one of those 40,000,000 pixels go to waste.
Experienced photographers who feel they’re too good for 16MP should look this beast up and down and see if it offers the quality they need. At a price tag of $19,995, the Hasselblad H4D-40 camera is obviously reserved for the uppermost echelons of photographers. The rest of us, well, we’ll just have to wait until even better technology rolls around.
Pro photographers who can deal with the $20K price tag will get the camera body, the viewfinder, and the 80mm lens in a single kit. It’s available now.
