Happy Birthday Google Chrome

It’s hard to believe that the Google Chrome browser made its debut just two years ago in 2008. Today, Chrome turns two years old and to celebrate this milestone, Google has announced an updated browser that promises faster speeds and an even easier user interface.

Google has confirmed that the new stable browser version will see a three times improvement in Javascript performance when compared to the original Chrome browser that launched in 2008. In addition to this, Google has also elected to consolidate the pair of Chrome menus into a single one and has also relocated the button locations, modified the color scheme and has also made minor adjustments to the Omnibox/URL field.

It appears that these changes are just the beginning in an onslaught of changes to improve this pretty good browser as Brian Rakowski, a product manager with Google, has stated in a blog post that Google has “ratcheted up the pace of our releases so that we can get new features and improvements to everyone more quickly.”
