We all lived in a yellow submarine back in 69, but in 08, there’s a guitar shaped boat, courtesy of Josh Pyke. Tourists watched in bewilderment as Pyke sailed through Sydney Harbour in his boat. The guitar shaped boat, named the SS Maton, will be featured in his new video promoting his single Make You Happy. The SS Manton is a giant replica of the acoustic instrument that Pyke used in his video.
The boat is seaworthy as Pyke managed to stay dry within it. Once filming of the video has completed, the boat will be sold on auction, with money going to charity. No word on whether the guitar strings work or if they need tuning.
