Google has stated that the Android 2.2 operating system or Froyo will include the world’s fastest mobile browser. The speed improvements gained can be attributed to the V8 JavaScript engine which Google has already deployed for the Google Chrome browser for the desktop platform.
With V8, benchmark tests have recorded JavaScript performance improvements that are about two to three times faster then what was seen in earlier Android OS versions.
