Beta testing of Google Wave has begun. The trial period is available by invitation only with more then 100,000 invitations being sent out. Google Wave is an online collaboration tool that offers people the ability to come to one spot to communicate and share media files and documents.
It is described as what email would look like if it was invented today. With Google Wave, users will not be limited to a text based conversation. Collaboration will take place in the form of real time communication using video, instant messaging, pictures, maps and much more.
If you didn’t get an invite from Google to participate in this beta test, check with your friends and family to see if they received one as beta testers will be able to invite others into the program.
