The rumor making it’s way across the Blogosphere is that search engine giant Google is holding talks with their counterparts at the micro blogging phenomenon known as Twitter.
The nature of the discussions are somewhat sketchy with some saying that Google is looking to buy Twitter for about $1 billion dollars in stocks and cash.
Others believe that the two companies are discussing the possibility of a joint real time search engine.
Both options do seem plausible. Google is always looking for quality sites to add to the Google family, such as when they bought YouTube. The prospect of a joint collaboration also seems reasonable as we know that Twitter is very good at cataloging real time events such as the recent US Airways crash in NY and the terrorist attacks in Bombay.
Whatever the final deal between the two companies will be, a joint Twoogle would be interesting.
