Google Street View can be unexpectedly funny — shots of unsuspecting people in compromising positions often go viral, and suddenly the guy passed out on the sidewalk is the talk of social networks everywhere. But recently, two Norwegian fellows probably outdid all other Google Street View gems by chasing after the Google Street View car — in wet suits!
Recently-captured photos by the Google Street View car show two men in full scuba gear — flippers, goggles, snorkels and all — chasing after the vehicle with what looks to be pitchforks. No one but the dudes really know why they chose to wear scuba gear in the middle of the street, but it apparently did the trick — these guys are famous!
Apparently, the two guys heard in advance that the Google Street View car would be passing through their street that day in July last year. So they dressed up in wet suits, staked out a spot on the sidewalk, and waited on lounge chairs. After about an hour of waiting, the Google Street View car came down the street — and the chase was on.
The guys later claimed they were doing it for laughs, and they didn’t know it would go viral as it did. Well, great work, guys — this will probably start a trend someday. You can see their immortal picture here.
