
It would seem that the Google Nexus One smartphone is starting to mature as it has officially received its first Nexus One accessory courtesy of Google. Announced today, consumers can pick up a desktop dock specially designed for their Google phone.
The dock which retails for $45 is available directly through the Google Nexus One webpage with the technical details available here. As a docking station, the device will recharge your smartphone once it is in the cradle.
Additionally, a docked phone will trigger the clock application to launch automatically so that the local time and weather reports will be readily available. The Desktop Dock also includes a couple of other features such as the ability listen to your favorite music, preview your stored digital photo collection as well as both set and clear alarms.
Included with the Desktop Dock is a set of 3.5mm audio cables that will allow you to connect the unit to your home entertainment system so that you can listen to your music collection by way of the home stereo.
