Google Launches “Near Me Now” Service For iPhones And Android Handsets

Google Near Me Now

Google Maps is a great app for iPhones and Android handsets, but there are some of us who don’t necessarily have it installed. But that doesn’t prevent Google from offering a service, making sure everyone knows their physical location. The new “Near Me Now” search option now lets anyone with an iPhone or Android handset find the nearest ATM, bar, restaurant, or coffee shop — simply by accessing a web page.

By logging on to Google.com on your handset, you can allow Google to access your location — and now use the Near Me Now option. The feature uses GPS to help you find places to eat and get fast cash whenever you’re in an unfamiliar part of town, or in a new city altogether. Tests have shown that even when GPS signals are a bit on the weak side, you can still get more results than you need.

The Near Me Now mobile service also lets you save locations in a special “Favorites” section, so you can find them again whenever you need them in the future.
