Google Chrome Bundled With Adobe Flash Player

The Adobe Flash player is one of the most popular web browser plugins available on the Internet today. With most users downloading the plugin as an add-on anyways, Google has made the decision to integrate Adobe Flash into Google Chrome.

For Adobe, this move represents a win on several fronts. Most importantly, it’s a new partnership forged with Google and a strike at Apple, who on several occasions has made reference to the fact that Flash is a buggy application, a resource hog as well as a security risk, reasons they feel validate their rationale for not supporting the plug-in on their Apple devices, especially when it comes to the iPhone and iPad.

By integrating Adobe Flash as part of Chrome, Internet users who download the latest version of Chrome will also receive the Flash player and Flash updates will now be part of the regular automatic updates that come part and parcel with Chrome which should help in reducing the security risks associated with outdated versions.
