The one on ThinkGeek is dual function.  It is a game controller that has a DB 9 connector so that you can plug your old Atari 2600 joystick (assuming you still have it) into it, thus allowing you to play the older games, but the USB controller is modern enough to also allow you to play the newer  games.</description>
