To boldly go up for auction in early October will be Gene Roddenberry’s Apple Mac plus computer. The creator of the highly popular television series Star Trek received the first ever Apple Mac plus back in January 1986.

With a serial number of F4200NUM0001 (not quite the same as NCC-1701), the auction house believes that this computer will sell for $800-$1200 although there is a good chance that it could sell for considerably more, especially if emotions come into play.
The Apple computer will come with the original keyboard and mouse, an external floppy drive and carrying case. There will also be a letter of authenticity signed by Rod Roddenberry, Gene’s son.
Gene’s computer has been featured on the big screen in the movie Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986).
