We all saw the high interest levels that occurred when Apple announced that they were going to come out with a white iPhone. Offering up additional color choices seems to make good business sense and can be a new revenue generator.
Today, it has been confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available in white. The white model will make its debut at multiple retailers throughout the United Kingdom and should be available for purchase by the middle of this month. Shortly after the launch of this device, Samsung will follow up with a second Galaxy model, this one being a 32GB HSPA+ device and black in color.
The “two week time” frame for the release of the white model is coming from Expansys whereas Handtec has the date pegged to February 6th. Other then the color change, there are no other changes to speak of. The form factor is the same as is the hardware components, hence, users will still get a device that comes standard with a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED high definition screen with features that include HSPA+ support, 5MP camera and 1080p high definition video capabilities.
In terms of pricing, Handtec has the 16GB model listed at $770 whereas Expansys hasn’t divulged its pricing just yet.
