Future Shop, Best Buy Start Accepting Nexus 7 Pre-Orders

As demand for Google’s upcoming Android tablet, the Nexus 7 tablet continues to grow, we’re starting to see more and more companies announcing their plans for the said device. The latest pair of companies that have confirmed that they will have the Google tablet are Best Buy and Future Shop, the latter retail giant being located within Canada.

Both companies are now accepting pre-orders for the device which they are expecting will be in their warehouse no later then August 10th. In terms of pricing, both companies have set the price of the 16GB Nexus 7 tablet at $259. As of now, there are 4 companies that have shared their intentions with the Google tablet. GameStop was quick to announce their pre-order strategy shortly after the official announcement of the Nexus 7 and Staples also revealed their plans to carry the device, though their shipping date was leaked accidentally. Along with these 4 carriers, you can of course also go to the source, Google’s Play Store to buy the tablet.

There is currently a lot of choice when it comes to tablet computers and really, it has become a buyers market. Apple with their iPad has always had a good lead on its competitors when it comes to market share but in addition to them, Amazon has also seen success with their Kindle Fire tablet, not to mention that a new model is said to be on the horizon. Of course, we can’t forget about the new Microsoft tablet that was announced recently and to complete the picture, there is the Nexus 7. It certainly has become crowded. Do you think Google has enough features and options in their Nexus 7 to carve out a good slice of market share for themselves?
