Samsung Electronics has released the HMX-U10 pocket camcorder. This cool gadget supports 1080p full HD recording and 10 megapixel still photography. If you ask the casual videographer why they didn’t bring their gear with them, a common reason has to be the large size seen with many camera models.
This is not the case with this point and shoot digital camcorder which measures a compact 56 x 103 x 15.5mm and weighs just 95g. This device is highly portable and can be activated in an instant to capture interesting video that can later be uploaded as a YouTube video using Samsung’s Intelli-Share app which also supports video editing.
Designed to compete with the Flip UltraHD, the Samsung HMX-U10 uses SDHC card as a recording medium and requires the H.264 video codec.
Expected to retail this September for about $200, other features included are a 2-inch LCD and a fixed focus 1/2.3-inch CMOS lens.

Ijust got the samsung hmx-u10 pocket camcorder from QVC and i cannot put the Date Day Year and Time into it. I tried too. i cannot find the place to reset the time HMX-U10RN/QVC
Go into the “settings” and then to date/time set. Should be easy for you from there to put the correct date and time in.
I received my camcorder on Friday, and got so excited that I plugged it in, tried to set the time and date and entered the wrong year. I tried to figure out how to reset the correct date on my own and could get no where. I went to the website and downloaded the instruction booklet to my desktop for easy access. I went back into my camcorder to “settings” and reset the time/date stamp correctly without any problems. After playing with the camcorder for an hour or two, I went over to my daughter’s house and recorded my granddaughter’s first steps! The film turned out beautifully inside her house with average lighting. I will admit that the camera is not for a beginner (it has a lot of features that take some getting use to) , but if you take the time to understand it.. you will truly enjoy your purchase. The cameras buttons take a “light” touch.. and work perfectly. I would have also liked to have had the added feature of a flash and image stabilization on this camcorder, but for the price, it is good as it is. No regrets here.. even bought two more for my daughter and my son for Christmas! Love it!
