The Nintendo Wii supports internet connectivity that allows game players to compete in online video games. They also offered another paid service called the Internet Channel, which if purchased, allows you the privilege to surf the internet wirelessly.
In a nice move, Nintendo has elected to offer up the Internet Channel for free. In the past, this service cost 500 Wii points. The good news is that those that may have already purchased the channel are not at a loss as Nintendo will give you a credit of 500 points that you can use to towards the download of an NES game from the virtual console.
The Internet Channel will be available as a free download through the Wii Shop Channel.
