A total of 8 million Firefox downloads were counted over the last 24 hours and with that, Mozilla and all the users that did download the latest version have earned themselves a spot in the Guinness Book Of World Records.
It was a challenging 24 hour period for Mozilla as their servers certainly couldn’t handle the traffic yesterday, with many users encountering timeout messages. One can only imagine, if their servers were able to handle the traffic, just how much higher the download count would have been.
