Free Assassin's Creed Or LittleBigPlanet For New PSP Go Owners

Last October 1st, Sony Computer Entertainment America (NYSE:SNE) launched the PSP Go, a handheld video game console which unlike past models, did not include a UMD drive, but rather came with flash memory that was used to store games, movies and other digital media. The reviews for the new Sony console were mixed with many pundits feeling that it was to expensive. What also upset many of their potential customers was seeing the launch of the PSP Go in Europe including a free game title called Gran Turismo PSP and this promotion was not expanded to other global markets.

With sales somewhat sluggish, it looks like Sony Corp. will up the anti and offer consumers who buy a PSP Go between now and March 21, 2010 a free game choice, either Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines or LittleBigPlanet PSP. To get one of these free games, you will need to complete the registration process after which SCEA will email you a valid promotional code that can be used to download your game choice through the Playstation store.

This new Sony promotion is not without it’s share of controversy. There are many early adopters of the Sony gaming station that are voicing their disappointment in the PlayStation blog questioning this decision only some four months after its original launch.
