Adobe already has a mobile version of Photoshop, their image editing software, that is available for the Apple iPhone and Android phones. The list of mobile devices for which Photoshop support has now grown as Adobe has confirmed support for the iPad tablet.

Along with this news, Adobe has also confirmed a name change for their software to Photoshop Express which is available as a free download through the iTunes store. The app has been optimized for better use with the iPad and will include the standard functions like cropping images, color adjustments, and the ability to add special effects like a Sketch feature or Soft Focus. Artists will also enjoy the use of single touch effects like Vignette and Warm Vintage.
