Floater is a line of cutlery by Korean designer Seongyong Lee that prevents utensils from sinking to the bottom of a sink filled with murky water. This is accomplished by having a hollow ball and handle just above the business end of the utensil.

The objective of this design is to help you avoid pricked fingers while reaching to the bottom of a sink as you try and fish out cutlery that needs to be washed. Does it work? Check out the youtube video, the cutlery does float. However, I can’t remember the last time I did prick my finger while washing dishes and nowadays, I just load them straight in the dishwasher.
