The Mozilla Foundation has announced on its blog that Firefox 4 Beta 1 is available for download. The new beta of the cross-platform web browser is still quite some ways away from a final release version, but is stable enough for those interesting in giving it a once over.
Like the releases that went along with the older versions of the Firefox browser, Mozilla developers are looking for feedback and bug reports and have integrated feedback options throughout the user interface to allow Internet users an easy option to send information. The new browser comes with a lot of improvements and features. Some of these features will be easy to spot while others not so likely as they are more background changes. For Windows PC users, some of the big changes include a new add-ons manager, hardware accelerated HD HTML5 video support, privacy enhancements, improved crash protection and better performance, both at startup and when a webpage loads.
Be sure to check out the Mozilla site for a full run down of the details and features of Firefox 4 Beta 1.
