We’ve seen power-generating mouthpieces, slippers, and rocking horses in the past, but this is probably the first dog accessory that taps little Fido’s boundless energy reserves and turns it into electricity. The Fido Fashion Dog Leash is basically a retractable leash that, when the leash is pulled or retracted, generates electricity for three LED’s that act as a flashlight for those night walks.
Sure, it can’t charge your cellphone while you’re out walking the dog, but at least it’s a start. And with the LED light sources, now you can take your pet out for walks after dark when you’re too busy to do so during the day.
It’ll be great to see more gadgets like this hit pet stores all over the world soon. It addresses so many health, social, and environmental problems at the same time that it’ll be silly not to pay attention to it.
