Eye Fi wireless geo SD Card

Eye-Fi has come out with a wireless SD card for Mac users. If you don’t transfer pictures regularly and always end up having to search transfer cables, this new SD card will make that search a distant memory.

Not only does the Eye-Fi card upload pictures from your digital camera to the pc using your wireless home network, but it also uses Wi-Fi triangulation to geotag them with image location so that they can be displayed using a digital map.

The new card is different from other Eye-Fi cards in that it has been designed to automatically integrate with iPhoto 09’s new Places feature so that you can sort your photo collection by location.

For an additional annual fee of $9.99, users can choose to share photos online at MobileMe or any of the other 20 photo sharing and social networking sites.

The 2GB card will be sold for $59.99 at Apple stores and apple.com.
